First-hand Encounters
Nine DLA Phillips Fox lawyers have undertaken pro bono secondments at nonprofit organizations, charities or community legal clinics. Our lawyers’ participation allows smaller organizations that otherwise might not have the resources to undertake strategic projects and build capacity. Austcare’s Cambodian office is now implementing a three-year project on land mine action and follow-up community activities. A fundamental part of the project is ensuring that demand land is distributed to the people most in need of land so they can benefit from rural development.
