Backing Slovakia
- Since 2007 over
- 2350 volunteers working in collaboration
- Providing 7200 working hours of community support
Eastern Europe’s rising economies bring enormous value to global business and trade, including talent, workers, imagination and new markets. For the past three years, national and international businesses, with bases in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, joined forces to invest time and effort into the physical and social fabric of the city. The launch event in 2007 was joined by 400 people from several companies and organisations, however, in 2008 the amount of volunteers rose to 750, and in 2009 even to 1200.
During the two day duration of the event, employees from companies including Accenture, Citibank, Dell, IBM, Siemens, Orange, T-Mobile, Microsoft and KPMG worked on 17 projects, identified by 17 NGOs working in the republic, tackling environmental and social issues.
Our Bratislava office has been supporting this event ever since its beginning, offering professional advice on a range of social welfare topics. We not only used our brains but also our muscles to rejuvenate a local youth facility.
